A solution for service provision

Emergency Response, Coordination and Collaboration

The team at Animal Services Australasia has proven their capability in providing welfare during large-scale disasters, as demonstrated during the 2019-20 Australian bushfire season and the subsequent floods in NSW in 2021 and 2022.

Our solution

The team at Animal Services Australasia provided expertise and manned specialist field vehicles for incident control at ground zero in disaster and emergency response. Those vehicles, alongside a clinically equipped Mobile Veterinary Vehicle, provided immediate and comprehensive support to animals in need, even in areas where infrastructure has been severely impacted. The Mobile Veterinary Vehicle played a vital role as a central hub for rescue and evacuation plans, temporary shelter and enabled effective coordination, communication, and timely dissemination of information among government agencies, animal welfare organisations, emergency management authorities, and the public. This enabled efficient resource allocation and coordinated response efforts across all stakeholders involved.

A solution for ecological preservation and Indigenous integration.

Wildlife Conservation and Native Animal Welfare

Australia is home to a diverse range of unique wildlife species, and ensuring the welfare of native animals can present unique challenges, as many are vulnerable or endangered. There is a need for increased resources and support for wildlife conservation efforts, including habitat preservation, species recovery programs, and initiatives to address human-wildlife conflicts.

Our solution

Animal Services Australasia is fostering partnerships with the Odonata foundation, educational institutions, and indigenous communities to develop joint initiatives that promote understanding and respect for the environment and the invaluable inclusion of indigenous perspectives on animal welfare. These collaborations will facilitate knowledge exchange, research opportunities, and practical fieldwork, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the unique needs of native species and the importance of incorporating indigenous perspectives into conservation efforts. Additionally, the forged relationships facilitate educational institutions offering  specialized courses or programs that focus on indigenous approaches to animal welfare, incorporating traditional ecological knowledge and cultural values.
